I’m passionate about imaging methods that enable new noninvasive, quantitative biomarkers of brain physiology. My experience is in MRI susceptibility mapping methods to measure baseline oxygenation along cerebral veins.
My current project exploits a new simultaneous PET-MRI scanner to validate noninvasive imaging of cerebral blood flow by arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI against the O-15 water PET reference standard. This validation would allow better understanding of ASL performance in patient populations with cerebrovascular disorders, such as Moya-Moya disease.
