My research focuses on using MRI and other imaging modalities to understand the links between neural and cerebrovascular health in humans. I use physiological challenges, such as respiratory and blood pressure manipulations, to measure the health and responsiveness of cerebral blood vessels with the aim to better understand how our brain functions and what causes dysfunction in disease. My research also explores how physiology and other non-neural sources of MR signal impact our characterisation of intrinsic brain fluctuations and resting state fMRI.
